When does Team USA march at 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony? What to know

The 2024 Paris Olympics are upon us, and the Games officially kick off Friday evening — Friday afternoon in the U.S. — with the opening ceremony.
This will be a unique opening ceremony, with the parade of nations, typically a favorite feature of every opening ceremony — everyone remember the shirtless Tongan wonder? — taking place on the Seine. Teams will arrive via boat, with more than 100,000 spectators watching from the river banks. It is the first opening ceremony in the Olympics’ 128-year history that will be held outside of a stadium. NBC begins live coverage at noon ET and will re-air it in primetime Friday night.
So when do Team USA and its 592 athletes arrive? Flag bearers LeBron James and Coco Gauff will lead the Americans as they float in the ceremony second to last, as is customary for the nation that will host the next Olympics. (The 2028 Games are in Los Angeles, in case you haven’t heard.) France, as the host nation, will be the last team to enter. Greece and flag bearer Giannis Antetokounmpo enter first.
When does the Olympics opening ceremony start?
The opening ceremony on July 26 starts at 1:30 p.m. ET. NBC will begin coverage at noon. The full event is expected to last more than three hours.

How to watch the Olympics opening ceremony
NBC will air the procession on its broadcast TV channel. It will also be available to stream on Peacock.
